Irish Government puts SUMS Maths in its Irish Speaking Schools

After an extensive trial period the Irish Government has agreed to put the SUMS Maths Online Service, in its Gaelic version, into all of its schools that use Gaelic as a first language. The agreement is for an initial three years. SUMS works in partnership with local publisher Gill and MacMillan.
NB SUMS also has a great Welsh language version and would be delighted if the Welsh government wanted to do something similar... |
Learn Your Tables Worldwide

SUMS are delighted to release the new version of their popular free to web Times Tables website www.learnyourtables.co.uk in ten languages, with nine more planned within the month. Language versions include Polish, Spanish, German, Chinese, and Russian.
The plan is to offer this free facility, which is designed to work well on the new generation of touchscreen smartphones and tablets, in as many language versions as can be achieved. |
SUMS goes App

SUMS are delighted to have had their fifth App accepted for the Apple iTunes App store, for use on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. To see them search the iTunes App store for "SUMS Online", or visit our dedicated Numeracy App website.
The SUMS team is working hard to provide many more of its 100+ activities in App store form, building on a long tradition of leading handheld educational solutions. |
London Borough of Newham selects SUMS Maths

Thirty Newham Schools are adding SUMS Maths to their VLE in a major project, as SUMS increases its profile in London. The London Borough of Haringey has already put SUMS Maths onto Fronter for use by all Primary Schools. |

Bury Local Authority selects SUMS Maths for RM Kaleidos

Bury have taken SUMS Maths for all of their Primary Schools, to aid the rollout of the popular Kaleidos VLE during 2010 and beyond. SUMS Maths is easy for teachers to use in the classroom, and is known to be able to tempt reluctant teachers to logon for the first time. |
Bradford Local Authority puts SUMS Maths on all Primary School Learning Platforms

Bradford have selected SUMS Maths as a key software package to be provided as standard to all of their Primary Schools. Bradford use SERCO Skillspace as their platform. Bradford first used SUMS Maths on handheld and netbook projects, an area where they are one of the national leaders. |
London Borough of Haringey selects SUMS Maths for Fronter

Haringey have selected SUMS Maths as a software package that will be provided as standard to all of their Primary Schools. Haringey use Fronter as their platform, and see SUMS Maths as a key part of their plan for introducing the benefits of VLE use to their 60+ Primary schools. They are the first London local authority to purchase an authority wide licence. |
Warwickshire selects SUMS Maths for RM Kaleidos Learning Platform

Warwickshire County Council have selected SUMS Maths as a software package that will be provided as standard to all of their Primary and Secondary Schools. Warwickshire use RM Kaleidos as their platform, and have been trialling SUMS Maths for some time. The rollout to more than 150 Primary and Secondary schools will begin this autumn. |
Blackburn with Darwen selects SUMS Maths for UniServity Learning Platform

Blackburn with Darwen Council have selected SUMS Maths as a software package that will be provided as standard to all of their 50+ Primary Schools as they introduce UniServity. Blackburn are also a leading local authority in the use of mobile devices and handheld games consoles like the Sony PSP in education (case study). SUMS Maths is of course always a core software element on those platforms. |
Nottingham City selects SUMS Maths for its Sharepoint based Learning Platform

Dudley selects SUMS Maths for World Leading Multi-Platform Project

Dudley Council have selected SUMS Maths as a key software package that will be provided as standard to all of their Primary Schools, to be delivered both through their Learning Platforms, StudyWiz and Kaleidos, and on a range of mobile devices, not least the RM Minibook (ASUS eeePC) and Nokia 810 tablets. Dudley have many thousands of handheld devices in Primary Schools and are one of ony two or three local authorities in the UK as advanced in their deployment of technology in schools. |
Buckinghamshire schools go for SUMS Maths for Moodle

Moodle is the open-source Learning Platform that is used by a large proportion of UK schools. Buckinghamshire are the most advanced local authority in introducing Moodle into their schools. We are therefore delighted that SUMS Maths has been selected as one of the first curriculum packages to be bought for Moodle on an LA wide licence. SUMS Maths and Moodle work very well together. |
Black Country Challenge schools go SUMS Multi-Platform.

SUMS Maths has been adopted by lead schools in four Black Country local authorities in an exciting project sponsored by Black Country Creative Partnerships. The sixteen schools involved have been provided with the full SUMS Maths Multi-platform solution that gives them access to SUMS Maths on all of their network, at home using Learning Platform delivered SCORM versions, and on a wide range of handheld platforms such as Sony PSPs, ASUS eeePCs, Windows Mobile devices and Nokia 810s. |
Oxfordshire schools go for SUMS Maths on their VLE.

Oxfordshire have selected SUMS Maths as a leading curriculum software package to go across their 230 schools. Oxfordshire use RM's Kaleidos Learning Platform. SUMS Maths was supplied in SCORM format - a standard that allows students and teachers to use SUMS Maths online in the most powerful way to deliver individualised learning. |
SUMS Maths wins NASEN Award

The SUMS team was delighted to win the prestigious NASEN software Award. NASEN are the top UK body for Special Needs, and they only award one software prize a year, so this was a major recognition for SUMS Maths. |
